New Years is a time for reflection, renewal and improvement. During this window of evaluation and resolution, we tend to be constructively analytical about our overall appearance. Subsequently, we may consider electing for surgical or non surgical cosmetic procedures in order to restore our natural youth and beauty or polish troublesome features that may have bothered us all our lives.
Youthful contouring
As we age our skin can begin to sag, creating wrinkles and altering our face’s silhouette. Procedures such as facelifts and neck lifts offer surgical options that reposition the tissue beneath the skin. These procedures are also often paired with nonsurgical skin care techniques such as fillers to reduce the look of wrinkles and restore volume.
Glowing skin
Fresh glowing skin has long been associated with youth. Procedures such as dermabrasion and microdermabrasion can be used to resurface the skin’s top layers, removing dull skin so that new, fresh skin can be exposed. Dermabrasion is an effective tool against deep animation lines, and is often paired with other facial rejuvenation procedures such as a face lift.
Firm skin
Though less invasive procedures remain the most popular for facial rejuvenation some individuals require surgical procedures to achieve the results they desire. To help your skin regain its firmness, many plastic surgeons will recommend autologous fat grafts. Autologous fat grafts, which remove fat from one part of your body so it can be deposited in another, are becoming more popular because of their natural looking results.
Before you decide to undergo any procedures, surgical or nonsurgical, you should discuss it with your plastic surgeon. He or she will be able to help you make an informed decision and best determine which procedure is best to achieve the results you desire.
