Tissue Fillers

Tissue fillers have become a popular facial rejuvenation procedure, largely due to the relatively immediate results without the need for invasive surgery or painful recovery times. This procedure is proven to decreases visible wrinkles, improve youthful facial contours, and leave patients with a noticeably fresher appearance.

Peterson MD offers an effective anti-aging solution with FDA approved, injectable dermal fillers. Qualified cosmetic specialists at our clinic will administer the serum allowing patients to benefit from decreased signs of aging using advanced and non-invasive cosmetic surgery practices.

What are Tissue Fillers?

A soft tissue filler is an injectable cosmetic filler used to smoothen fine lines and wrinkles and to add fullness to skin that has experienced loss in volume.

Dermal fillers such as Radiesse have been used to non-surgically reshape the nose while Restylane is extremely effective in naturally plumping up thin lips. Juvéderm is a revolutionary gel formula used to restore skin volume and improve the appearance of scars.

Some of these tissue fillers can even be used on the chest or hands for a smoother, more youthful look.

What are the benefits of Tissue Fillers?

When performed by an expert cosmetic surgeon or dermatologist, tissue filler treatments can achieve extraordinarily natural-looking and effective results. Some of their incredible benefits include:

  • Immediate and long-lasting results
  • Minimally invasive procedure
  • No downtime for recovery
  • Treatment performed in one visit
  • No anesthesia required
  • No risk of allergic reaction
  • Works in a gentle, natural way
  • Treatment can be reversed or corrected

What does the procedure involve?

During the soft tissue filler treatment, your cosmetic surgeon will mark the injection points on the treatment site before cleansing it with an antibacterial agent.

To keep you as comfortable as possible during the procedure, a topical numbing cream will be applied.

Using an extremely fine needle, the serum is injected into your skin. Depending on your desired results, the filler will be placed along deep facial folds or hollowed out facial areas, such as the cheeks, which have experienced a loss of volume.

Are the results of soft-tissue fillers permanent?

The results of all dermal fillers are temporary and last between 6 months - 2 years depending on:

  • The type of filler
  • The type of procedure

In order to achieve the best possible aesthetic results, maintenance treatments are often recommended.

Choosing the Right Tissue Filler For You

Given the wide range of dermal fillers available, a consultation is necessary prior to the procedure to determine which filler best suits your specific needs.

Dr. Peterson will recommend a customized tissue filler treatment plan based on your aesthetic goals and specific cosmetic concerns.

If you are interested in a more complete facial refresher, other treatments may be used in combination with the dermal fillers to obtain the best results.

I recently had liposuction done by Dr. Peterson to fix Coolsculpt I had had done that left me uneven. He was very professional, caring and compassionate and assured me everything could be fixed. I can't express my gratitude to Dr. Peterson for what an amazing job he did and how well he took care of me. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a plastic surgeon, in fact I have recommended him to many friends and they have all been very happy. My experience at the clinic was amazing, right from the beginning talking with Cynthia and the amazing care I got from all the nurses, I felt very special.
